The first was the loving support of my friends and family who have kept me as positive as possible. The second was making a good start in the games I played before I got injured. The fact I played well for the club when I first arrived meant I built up a rapport with the fans so I think they´re happy to see me back. The boys have been good as gold as well. There´s a really good dressing room at Millwall and that helped me a lot. But at the end of the day it´s down to you to keep yourself as positive as possible. My family will tell you I was a bit of a pain to live with over the 14 months I was out![]() Being out for so long was doubly frustrating as it was down to a misdiagnosis. I initially had two hernia operations. The first one was a failure which just added to the problems. Then it turned out to be a straightforward injury. I had an impinged hip, quite an acute form of it, but it´s something a lot of footballers get. At first I was annoyed as I´d been kept out longer than I should have but it was also a weight off my mind that it wasn´t an injury that was going to affect my career in the long term. It´s always hard when you have a lot of time out of the game and I´m sure my family will tell you I was a bit of a pain to live with over those 14 months! But to be back now just puts a spring in my step and I´m ready to give my best for Millwall again. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
